Bag O’Wine® Insulated Carrier

“Out of the box Enjoyment©”
Greetings to all box wine lovers, box wine strangers, and box wine haters. We’re all about box wine fun and enjoying our wine whenever and wherever we want. Regardless of which of the above groups you’re in, we have a new product and some cool ideas we want share.
First, let’s set the record straight about what we call “box wine bias.” This means you either love them, hate them or know nothing about them because you haven’t tried these wines. Consider these Nielsen survey statistics reported by the Mike Veseth, The Wine Economist (www.wineeconomist.com). As of August 8, 2011, sales of 3 liter units of wine were $323 million, up 3.3% from the previous year and sales of 5 liter units were $382 million, down –0.9%. These are domestic sales usually dominated by California producers, e.g. Bota Box, Black Box and Franzia. That’s $705 million in sales and, at an average cost of $17 per box, you have 42 million boxes that someone is consuming. Did you get your share?
Who’s buying wines? If we look at the demographic groups, The Nielsen Company (www.nielsen.com) reports the average annual expenditure for wine as follows:
Greatest Generation (64 ½ years – born prior to 1946) $124 per year
Boomers (1946-1964; 45-63 years) $123 per year
Generation X (1965-1976; 33-44 years) $78 per year
Millenials (1977-1994; 15-32 years) $61 per year.
For the two older groups, wine was the third largest purchase among a list of nine common household items and one service (hair
care). Compared to my wine budget, those numbers seem a bit low.
So, if you’re a box wine lover, you probably bought your share. If you haven’t tried them, maybe you should—millions of other wine drinkers certainly are. And even if you dislike them, shouldn’t you consider that the wine makers must be doing something right?
Assuming you purchase wine in a box, WHERE IS YOUR FAVORITE BOX WINE RIGHT NOW? More than likely it’s in one of two places or maybe both: red box wine on the bar and white box wine in the refrigerator. Right? Now, consider this scenario. You’ve had a tough day, so you go the fridge and dispense a glass of Pinot Grigio and go out to the sun room to relax. Soon, your husband comes in with the neighbor
in tow, so you offer them a glass of wine. So it’s back to the fridge for two more glasses which you happily serve the two gentlemen. You notice that your glass is almost empty, so it’s back to the fridge—again! The phone rings, it’s the neighbor’s wife looking for him. You invite her over and it’s back to the fridge. By now, the two men have finished their first glass and—you got it—once more to the fridge. Could all of this be easier? You bet! And the answer is Bag O’ Wine® Insulated Carrier, the only insulated wine bag designed specifically to carry the 3 or 5 liter bag of wine that’s inside the box—and much more. It also carries wine bottles, cans of beer, soda, water bottles—and there’s even room for cups, napkins, snacks…whatever you want to take. Bag O’ Wine Carrier could be sitting on the coffee table in the sunroom with you, your husband and your neighbors—and no more trips to the fridge! You serve it right there or they serve themselves. What could be better? Bag O’ Wine is compact (13” x 10” x 4”), easy to carry, durable, attractively designed, and you’re going to love it. Take your bag of wine without the box to picnics, parties, boating, receptions, tail gating or just put it by our chair when you want to relax with a glass of wine. No more “fridge trips”.
